The biggest of all ventures begin with an idea and an idea always begins with an individual. Krishnaswamy’s original role as a professional in India was that of a media analyst, he was probably the first to write about the growing role of cinema in politics. Given the reality of times where the Films Division of the Government of India was the only producer and distributor of documentaries and television was yet a distant dream, Krishnaswamy decided to make films for the newly emerging industries, while he waited for the opportune time to launch his dream project on Indian history and heritage. And so was born Krishnaswamy associates private limited (KAPL) in 1963. From the very beginning, we at KAPL have engaged in holistic filmmaking for information, education, entertainment and advertising.
